We'll be talking more about this during Friday night's Half-Life Radio show on the GameSHOUT Radio network. Midway Games has introduced a video game that utilizes brains, as well as brawn. Spokesman Riley Brennan says "Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy" is the first game to combine the action-combat with mind control". Brennan says the player has telekinesis, which is the ability move objects and people with his mind. He has pyrokenisis, which is the ability to use his mind to start fires. And he has something called "remote viewing," which essentially allows him to have an out-of-body experience as he goes on his adventure.Hmmm. Would be cool if Half-Life 2 had this technology.

The USA regularly made gifts of Ford's Model-T, yet only supplied the bare essentials, causing the French to design their own bodies. You see, because Half-Life 2 has been delayed several times, we have slacked off and not been looking for the positions that we need to bring this game to life. The time has come to stop, and to finally begin (again) development.Born of War was first proposed by Andrew and myself for the Unreal Tournament 2004 engine and development platform. Because of the "Make Something Unreal" contest, we found it very difficult to get team members that weren't already on a team. In fact, that was the sole reason that we decided to move to the Source platform. Born of War is a multiplayer modification for Half-Life 2 that takes place on the eastern front of World War II. Gameplay will be much like Valve's "Counter-Strike" and Infinity Ward's "Call of Duty." We are looking to mix the best type of competitive gameplay, with the greatest visuals ever seen in a World War II computer game. We need several positions to get this game off the frying pan and into the fire. Concept artists are always welcome to join our team, if you have a good ability to create textures, that's even better! We need modelers for weapons, players and props. Born of War is going to be taking advantage of one of the newest, most detailed, game engines avaiable today, and with that, we must be able to keep on the tip of our toes with artwork. Texture artists, ones that are able to skin weapons, players, and props are definately wanted. Programmers, if you are experienced, please apply as well. Everytime we tried to kick the new version out the door we stumbled across errors that needed to be corrected. A new version of Cheating-Death has been released which contains several new detection and blocking methods as well as a new system for handling Steam updates. This means that from now on Cheating-Death will not have to update every time Steam does. Furthermore C-D will fail more gracefully, allowing most users to continue using C-D until an update is released.Additionally we have implemented a fix for the Spectator exploit, however this requires mp_forcechasecam 2 and mp_forcecamera 2 to be set in order for the fix to work. Finally there are a variety of small bugfixes and tweaks to improve the overall user experience.
