Half-Life: Alyx is undoubtedly one of the most immersive experiences I have encountered since I began playing video games in the late 1980s. From the moment I entered City 17 in VR using my Samsung HMD, the level of immersion was truly impressive. Although I lacked sufficient space to walkaround, utilizing the controls from either a seated or standing position felt natural, unlike other virtual games I have played previously. Valve has excelled with this game, setting new standards for future releases. This game came at the perfect time during the start of the pandemic.

The games balance between eerie quietness and intense firefights was particularly noteworthy. The sound design significantly contributed to the overall experience. I am genuinely looking forward to more VR games from Valve and further additions to the Half-Life series.
