Source: HalfLife2.netRelated: Off LimitsSome great new media has been released by the Off Limits team:
Maybe it's the time of the year, maybe it's the release of HL², or maybe we're just warming up, but again our team has a lot to show for the last month. Reason and Penguin still live up to the high standards we've come to expect from them. Reason skinned the xm8 and the lr300ml, while Penguin finished the MP5k.Head on over to the Off Limits site for more, the site will also be getting a new look so stay tuned for more.Swirlee also kicked off in style with some slick character concepts. The first piece is a Vanguard Trooper. The second one is a female Vanguard model. Since she's too damn sexy to call her that, we've named her Erin. Simon has made our new presentations, and has created the view model for the Rogues' hands. Last, it is an honour to us concept artist Gerhard Moszi has done a frame for us. Feast your eyes: A lot is going on right now as well. Off Limits got covered in the January edition of PC Gamer UK. This has motivated the team into even more activity than usual. Reason has nearly finished the Savior IX Railgun, Penguin the H&K G11; Simon is modeling the new Alien and Swirlee is having fun modeling Erin's curves. Jake is finishing up the animated ingame version of the Red Devil, and purerage joined the team, a talented mapper you might already know as the creator of the HL² map dm_lost_isle. Myself I've dived into the SDK code, and am working on a first decent alpha. I'm implementing a GUI and basic teamplay gamerules, my first challenge being the implementation of a battlefield-style minimap with spawn selection. Long story short, expect another large news update in the very near future. On a side note, if you think you'll make a good addition to this team, feel free to contact us any time at maarten@off-limits.be or simon.wt@pandora.be. We're especially looking for experienced mappers, animators and a coder who can find his way around the SDK to back up our existing members.
