After expanding the $25,000 one versus one Painkiller tournament from 32 spots to 48 spots and having all spots sell out in just a few hours, the CPL has decided to increase the available spots to 64. With this new increase the tournament format will change to double elimination with no FFA qualifying rounds. New rules will be released very soon incorporating a number of changes and updates, including 15 minute matches.You can view the list of registered competitors here.With about 2,000 competitors from over 35 countries currently registered, this summer's Cyberathlete Extreme World Championship is the largest computer game competition of 2004.
