Welcome to the home of JD Level Design. The new site is set out simply and basically, nothing too graphically heavy. Images will be kept to 150kb or less where possible. Below is information on browsing the new site:

News All of the news about me and my levels will be produced on this page.
About All basic information concerning me, my interests, family etc.
Portfolio This is the place where all of my finished levels will be available for download.
Projects The place where all of my current levels and on-goings will be previewed and come with progress reports.
Resume My resume will be a resume aimed towards games industry employers with information about my abilities and experience in level-design, games developing programs etc.
CV Will hold all the basic information that employers will need to look at.
Contact All contact information and details are displayed on this page, if you ever need to contact me.

Now all the basic new site info coverage is over, to some good stuff. My two current projects at the moment are for the Natural-Selection modification. A classic NS map 'Valerie' is approximately 25% complete, for now I have taken a break from doing such a huge map and diverted all my attention to my NS combat map 'Serenity' which is approximately 50% complete. There are pictures of Serenity and Valerie in my projects section.

Spring break will give me a chance to get Serenity completed and out to a clan or two for playtesting, providing I am not going out to this chavvy club all the time. It's Spring break, even if it's not normally my scene, I got to have fun somehow! Even if I think I am starting to turn in to a mini-diluded chav.

Well, yesterday we posted that "Legal Troubles" post and a few of you guys seemed upset. Looks like our plan worked!

So yes the legal troubles is all fake. Silverfish is NOT a bad guy at all, he would never do that to us.

Well, as a gift for us being so cruel and that we were encouraging you guys to believe it so much, here is the NGM Flamer (BTW, if you would have clicked the PayPal button, you would have seen this image already)

Enjoy! We hope to bring you some more goodies too, without all the jokes in between!

*Update* Here are the hot new flamethrower renders! Concept, Model, Skin by Dete!

If you are an experienced C++ Coder, that is familiar with the SDK. Please Direct yourself to the forums and sign up. We are in desperate need of a good coder, god knows with a hella cool mod like this we are going to need one. The mod is still being held by HL2 DM untill we can fet a decent coder, most maps and models are done. Now we just need to put it together!

We've showcased Basque in the past, but there've been some major changes made to it since then, and so we thought it fitting to hit you all with a sneak peak.

Very soon you will all be able to play this incredible map for yourselves.

Thank You Guys!!!
We at Hostile Intent know we could not have released the game without a lot of help and support and that is why we are making this post. We want to say thank you to our very gracious host, HLGaming.

HLGaming has been there for us more than any host we have ever had, and we have had a lot of them. They have bent over backwards for us on a number of occasions and we are truly thankful for all of their support.

Thank you HLGaming for all of your assistance. Thank you for hosting us, seeing promise in us, for allowing us to have the much helpful sub domains, for the great tech support and especially for covering Hostile Intent news so diligently.

Thank you and we are glad that Team HI and HLGaming will be partners in the future for Hostile Intent: Phoenix Rising on the Source Engine.

Sincerely,

The Hostile Intent Team.

Today we have released two new concepts, one from our human team and one from our zombie team. We'd also like to let everyone know that progress is coming along very well, we have begun player and weapon modeling and should have something to show very soon.

Also we are still in need of some coders to help with this project, so if you are a coder and are interested in this mod please contact us at mod@evildezignz.com. Skinners and Animators are also needed, you can contact us at the same email.

Here are the concepts:

Hey HoBos! Welcome to the new look of Heat of Battle. Be sure to stretch your legs and explore your newly remodeled home. Among the new features are full WebWiz integration, news post commenting, members online notification, private message notification, updated Mapper's Pages and Dev Journal notification, platform news filtering, and much more. Please be patient while we tweak things a bit for your browsing amusement. Also, the media page will be down for a couple of days until we can rework some of the HoB media. We hope that this redesign makes your home away from the front lines a little more comfortable.

Related: No More Room in Hell
Hello everybody, in light of recent events (Old leader left, new one hopped on, new website up, etc.), and the coming release of our teaser, we've decided to reopen our doors to the community. If you're skilled in any of the following areas -

Modelling (Player, Weapon, and Prop)
Skinning
Texturing
2d Art (Of any kind (Ex. Sprites, HUD Design))

Details -

Modelling - Previous experience required. Please send either pictures or links of your previous work. Player modellers must be able to model a realistic human body effectively, and very detailed. Also, player modellers will be expected to be able to model a zombie model as well, so knowledge of anatomy and the sort could only be a plus. You could always research it as well. Weapon modellers must be able to take a picture, and create a 3d model from that almost perfectly. We'll be using real life weapons in the mod, so we need them to look as real as possible. Prop modellers must be able to bring a real life object to life inside the Source engine. Anything and everything we need. Whether it's a toaster, or some sort of grand fountain of bloody doom(TM), you'll need to be able to do it.

Skinning - Previous experience required. Please send either pictures or links of your previous work. Weapon skinners must be able to bring across a gritty, dirty feel to weapons, but not overdo it. These weapons have been through a lot. This is of course not only limited to scratches on the metal surfaces. Player Skinners must be able to accurately skin clothing, and the ideas of ripped clothing and blood.

Texturing - Previous experience required. Please send either pictures or links of your previous work. Texture Artists must be able to create life-like textures for use within the levels of NMRIH. Also, knowledge of coding those textures for normal mapping and the sort is a definate plus.

2d Art - Previous experience required. Please send either pictures or links of your previous work. 2d Artists will be tasked the duty of both the HUD and all ingame elements that are in 2d, and menu screens and the sort. The HUD is still being looked at design wise, and there is a chance we may actually go HUDless. If that's the case, we still need 2d Artists for the menus.

If you would like to join, please send information including your name, age, e-mail address, AIM/MSN/Yahoo ID, Previous Experience, any photos you may have, and why we should choose you over contestant B. Send these to thedayzofdarknes(at)sbcglobal(dot)com.

Thank you for your interest!
