Half-Life 2 Central has managed to get a intervew with the peep's behind the Gettysburg mod

Here's a little bit of it:

As we know from valve's e3 demonstration, half-life2 will feature extensive vehicle support. Will you be taking advantage of this implementation, and what type of vehicles can we expect to see in Gettysburg?

We will be taking full advantage of this feature. We will be having horses, Iron Clads (boats) and probably some Horse drawn wagons ammo carts and cannons which can be un-limbered (set up).

The SvenCo-op site has been updated with news of Jerig, who went missing
over a month ago. It turns out he's been in hospital, but is now starting
to recover. He'll be back working on SvenCo-op as soon as he and his
colleagues finish up 'Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour' for the Nintendo Gamecube.

They've also released a preview video from the new version of SvenCo-op,
showing the Opposing Force grunts in action, some MADWHACK effects, and
other things.

The machinima movie masters at 'Pre/Selection'
(http://www.computer-science.de/preselection) have posted a test version
of their latest Natural Selection rendered movie. If the short test is an
example of what these guys can do, get ready for a fantastic NS film! A
little birdie tells us that they plan on having a trailer ready sometime
very soon.

The test movie is in both MPEG and Divx 5.0.5 format, and weighs in at a
lightweight 11MB. It can be found on their download page.

Readyroom.org and Natural-selection.org have plenty of other NS info as
well for the upcoming 1.1 release, so be sure and drop on by for all sorts
of news, contests, intentionally blurry and infuriating images of new NS
weapons, and more!

Sharky Extreme has an interview with Ken Birdwell and Josh Weier of Valve Software:
SE - So how far done is all of Half-Life 2?
Ken - We've got all the game laid out. We've got about half of it in gameplay testing. Half-Life 2 is designed along a pipeline scheme: we build the maps, we lay out the geometry, the physics elements which are important to the gameplay and then we go thru play testing until we have a whole area of the game that's fun, that runs, that does what we want, plays how we want it. Then it will go on to the finish art team that will lay down all the textures, put the lights in, and put the detailed props in. It's a very time consuming process. To make a game this rich, and a world this natural, we want to make sure first that it's fun and then go through and make it beautiful.
