Hey Fans,

I'm truly sorry for the whole leaving thing, I just saw that most of the team was non-existent of even knowing who I even was, I felt really bad, my self, f|uxx and lancer started this with only a few game place ideas and a few site ideas, we started it and then bam, this wonderful street racing idea blew up and we received awesome coverage and interviews, etc.

The reason I left the first time, which I'm going to go ahead and say this publicly since I have no choice, I was not whipped Cerutti, my girlfriend was pregnant at 16, I was only 16, fixing to be 17, what do you want a young teen to do, your whole life changes, you go from hanging with your friends and girlfriend to having to stay home with your girlfriend to make sure the morning sickness goes away, or that she has the right food for that day because I wanted the best for my kid. We came to find out about 2 months in that it was only a chemical pregnancy (aka the egg didn’t implant into the wall but all the changes occurred in the body because it thought it was pregnant) so we lucked up so to speak. I don’t regret doing at that, I felt it was needed, I don’t regret leaving High Octane the first time because I needed to support my girlfriend and the upcoming baby, man's got to do what a man's got to do.

The reason I left the second time is because of so many conflicts like Turk and Raven and then Punk Zero locking me out because he felt I wasn’t allowed to lead the modification as a leader and he deliberately went behind my back and changed the site ownership when I left for a whole hour. I had the whole team against me that it seemed like, but then I found out that most of the team wanted me back on after I left the second time.

So this is my third chance so to speak, I'm dedicated to this. I'm already popular because I was associated with being the creator of High Octane, every time I run into a DoD, NS, etc, game I get at least one personal message with someone asking what happened.

This changed my mind, I have a full day tomorrow to fix a lot of problems that I wouldn't normal be able to fix without having a day off, the website needs fixing bad.

Thank you for your time,
Eric "EclipseRS" Pelezo

All of the old weapon models have been re-rendered and can be looked at in our gallery. Among these new renders is also a brand new weapon for the mod, the Spas 12 shotgun. This shotgun when used by the hunters can take down bigger animals such as bears.

Oh and in other news the team is still growing as well. Some mappers, a programmer, and a few other key positions have been filled as we keep growing and reaching towards a fairly near alpha one release date.

Well its time for another update for everyone. First I just would like to let everyone know Jedi: Timeline will be http://www.HalfLifeRadio.com tomorrow Friday the 23rd of January. To tune in click http://listen.halfliferadio.com:8000/listen.pls. And if you would like to ask any questions just join the IRC chat at #Radio on GameSHOUT.net. Next thing on the agenda you will see a new model. Below you will see the SoroSuub X-34 Landspeeder modeled by CheeseSteakJim.
The land speeder is one of the most common types of vehicles found in the universe and displays a huge variety of designs. Some are small, single person domes ringed with repulsorlift engines, while other is sleek, elongated craft with powerful propulsion units. All the land speeders have some sort of repulsor field generator which is responsible for the lifting of the vehicle above ground even when parked. An array of propulsion units can be attached to the rear of the speeder to provide forward motion.
On the temperate worlds, land speeders like Luke's SoroSuub X-34 come standard with open cockpits and retractable duraplex windscreens. While the X-34 and other similar models can only carry a driver and passenger, magnetic clamps behind the seats can secure droids or a small amount of cargo. Storage space is usually extremely limited. Only a few models like the V-35 Courier owned by Luke's uncle and aunt Owen and Beru Lars, offer a large cargo compartment and additional seating.
- Manufacturer: SoroSuub X-34 Landspeeder
- Length: 7.4 meter long
- Speed: 250 kilometer per hour
- Crew: 1 pilot, 1 passenger, 2 droids, and less then 5 kilograms of cargo
- Weapons: None
- Shields/Armor: None

Here's a small progress update.
Hostile Intent is really steaming up right now and progress is going fast. Thanks to Lacos, our web guru, you can now check our progress and assignments right here. Make use of this. It shows in detail what the assignments are and who is working on them (or who SHOULD be working on them). Because of this massive workload we have right now we decided to get some reinforcements on the coding department. A lot of people applied for our open coding position but we decided to get the following two:

Introducing: Jonathan Shusta
I joined the HI team because this is the first half-life mod I've come across that I actually want to see succeed. not that I didn't want to see CS or NS succeed, but they already had huge followings by their 1.x releases. besides, those were closed projects -- they listened to the community but weren't as willing to invite them to participate -- and at the time I had come across each of them they were already well underway. This is one I can really contribute to because it is already representative of my ideal version of a realistic first person shooter, and it is at a critical point where the results could make or break it. Number one on my wishlist for this mod is to see that it overtakes the title of most popular fps from counter-strike. Sorry gooseman.

Ulf "TheFly" Jalmbrant
I recently decided to join the mod community. While I have been regularly hacking the half-life sdk since it came out. I played HI and liked it so when the chance came I couldn't resist.

In other news, Crazer finished the new armskins which will have map dependant sleeves. So don't worry if you think it'll be cold when you're running round in a snowwy map as the way they are now. Here they are, thanks Crazer.

If you visit the site and images you will notice we are updating the renders. Soon the site will change and the mod will be released.
Code is going well and for once we have a full staff working making sure WW gets done and to be fun.
We still could use a good mapper or two to put some top notch water based maps.
For those dedicated fans of WW I have this:
Two new renders @ modDB.com Gallery!

I got to interview the_s-man and Epitomiz3 from the Half-Life 2 mod Citizen-132. Here a small preview:
F-M-B.org:
Realism or bunny hopping 1337 gameplay? As far as the theme of the mod will allow it of course. And will the HUD (Heads Up Display) also be influenced by this in the way of no Hud or limited HUD?
Epitomiz3:
Realism. As for the heads up display I do not think we have fully decided it. What you don't know is scary sometimes. If you did not know if you have 2 or 15 bullets and a creature was close by I
would hate to guess and only have 2.

the_s-man:
I agree with Epitomiz3. We want to scare the player as much as possible, and in real life, you don't really know how many bullets you have in your gun (unless you count), so we are going to try to keep the HUD as sparse and not overbearing as possible.
The full interview can be found here: http://www.f-m-b.org/interviews/interview_citizen_132.htm
