Version 1.2 of CS:CZ will be released next week via Steam. The update includes high-definition hostage models with all-new AI, 2 new player models, brand new maps, and other enhancements.

The improved hostages will show emotions such as fear, attempt to escape on their own if ignored, and even talk to the player to give clues about what they've seen. The new player models feature the Russian SPETSNAZ counter-terrorist and Militia terrorist.

We have a couple Important Announcements concerning the future of Colossus.

Colossus is no longer apart of Stratatic Studios, the leaders, Chessmess and Magnetmannen, decided its best that Chessmess stays with Hydro Racers, and Magnetmannen would lead the Colossus team. So Chessmess is no longer the leader of the mod and Chessmess has left the Colossus Team. We are glad we left of good terms .

The Farcry SDK is going to be released soon, so the Colossus Team has decided to make the mod for Farcry and also for Half Life 2. Both having the same concepts and style of game play. This is excellent because we can now make the models more detailed and have a good idea of how they will be animated and so on.

For the beta release we are trying to get 1robot in game, 4 vehicles per side, and about 1-2 maps, but nothings official yet.

Now for a new render sent by Magnetmannen.

The colossus nuclear weapons factory and spawn point. it has a nanofactory inside, which can produce almost anything you want. Tanks, airplanes, big bombs, u got it.

Also we got a new Affiliate.
It’s a hl2 mod called BloodThirst, About Vampires and Vampire Slayers, it’s goal is to be a team-based game.
It looks like a very promising mod which we can expect great things from.

We are still looking for affiliates so if you’re interested, send a mail towards colossusmod@hotmail.com.

Rumours that the competition has been cancelled are unfounded! However we may extend the deadline by a month! The money is still there up for grabs! Don't be disheartened by skill - originality and design are equally important. Now for some inspiration
