Due to some browser incompatibility issues, I have changes the forum software. Unfortunatly, you will need to re-register for this since there was no converter available. But the hassle should be well worth it due to the better look and features of the new software. The old forum will still be online until augest 10th, at which point it will be deleted.

WE’RE HAVING A CONTEST! Yay!

It’s simple really. Only thing you need to do, is draw some stuff in Flash! Doesn’t matter what version of Flash your using, and if it’s Half Life related or not. I made a few examples ( quite a few :D )

The contest starts TODAY (July, 27th 2004) and will END next week on a Tuesday - August, 3rd!

And here are some examples I made:

As you can see, it can be anything. From tv's to lavalamps, and from crowbars to gordon's.

I just found out it doesn't matter if you group objects. Perhaps it's even for the better. Go submit your drawings! Win prizes!

Oh almost forgot...

The winner get's a free beta of this fabulous flash program. You can start making comics before the official release, easy and quick! yay!

Submit now!

Hello all, greetings from the Trigun world. We have recently started getting a few models
ingame, and I decided to share the renders to you. We also have a render of Knives ingame.

Please note, these models are still in work - so skins, sizes, and the sheer look may change (maybe not dramatically, but still enough to notice a difference). You may be asking your self now: What map is that? Kind of looks familiar...Well if you did, your senses are keen. This is Ryosuke's first map for Escape from Pain, titled EFP_QuickDraw. This map is still in work, so the textures, lighting, and other misc. elements are not done. Enjoy!

Also note, we took all these shots using The Specialists mod. Our current build of Escape from Pain isnt complete enough to take screens in. Come back for more updates soon ;).

I can not seem to connect to the website to download the images. I will try later

Hey guys
Been awhile since the last update! Things have been relativley quite around here... things are looking up with the upcoming release of Doom 3 and word from Gabe that HL2 *might* be hitting gold in early August. Cross your fingers!
Anyway, they biggest team news for this update is a fairly large shuffling of our staff. Madmax, General Yoda, and Sixthsense have decided to move on to other things... life, jobs, etc. We wish them the best of luck for the future.
On the happy side of things, we welcome 4 brand new members to the team. AlbinoChicken, a 2D/3D artist, Stanley, a mapper, Mailman, a 2D artist, and Oi!, another mapper. Everyone give them a warm welcome in the forums!
And for our Media... :)
Hiro's P90 was textured by Kevin, I modeled a CZ-100 pistol, and lastly, AnError has been gracious enough to update his Steam skin for us to match the new site! You can comment on all of these in our Forums

After years of using WON, the service we all loved or hated. It is finally shutting down and being replaced with Steam. If you have not used Steam yet what are you waiting for. Go download it here. If you need some help setting it up please post it on the message boards and I will help you if I can.

Farewell WON!

This year at the CPL (http://www.thecpl.com), CSBot will be the featured method of relaying live server statistics to spectators and enthusiasts on IRC. After an intense testing period, the CPL IRC officials selected CSBot as being the best HL-related scorebot. "After testing a variety of HL-related scorebots, we selected CSBot for our Counter-Strike reporting because it offers a diverse and comprehensive set of features with an intuitive, flexible user interface", said Jacob Ray, CPL's IRC Manager. During official gameplay, there will be a maximum of 8 instances of the bot running at any given time. Alternatively, fans and supporters will also be able to watch HLTV for all CPL gameplay coverage.

Launched June 1997, the CPL was the first organization to advance computer game competitions to the level of a professional sport. Today, the CPL is the global leader in competitive computer gaming, having held live tournaments on five continents. The CPL has also sanctioned a large number of qualifying tournaments held in over forty countries.

Originally inspired by TFCBot, CSBot was created in November 2001. It is one of the first server management utilities of its kind for the Half-Life modifications Counter-Strike, Natural-Selection, and Day-of-Defeat. One of CSBot's key features is its ability to transmit and publish live server statistics into any given IRC channel. Since it's release, it has become the standard for all Counter-Strike IRC spectators. UnitedAdmins would like to send out a special thanks to puzl for offering his programming abilities to the CSBot project.

I made a lot of changes to the site today. Michael Karlsson sended me other suggestions. They are in the new NPC's and Map Objects section. I updated the sounds section of each species so now the voice (taunt / telepatic transmission) are in a new Voices section.
We have a new member William Houshmandi. William is our new voice actor! And will work on taunt / telepatic transmission voice in the game.

There has been an external network event causing some pretty bad network problems for Valve today. The source is not clear at this time, however it is external to Valve's network. It's being worked on with our outside connectivity people to fix/shut down the problem.

Sorry for the inconvenience of it all. We'd love to flip a switch and fix it, but like I said, it's coming from the outside.
