Source: Ghost Soldiers (Site Currently offline)
Me and my team have been working on it since before Half Life 2 was released and its coming along well so far.
Heres a little bit about it:

Ghost Soldiers will be mainly CO-OP but you will have the option to play as a single player.

The game play will be a combination of stealth and run and gun so the main play will be to sneak into a situation then shoot your way back out of it with many features to help you out with this such as thermal satellite imaging and binoculars, there are also many weapons which are unique to the mod and as far as I know have never been used before such as a taser or dart gun.

The mod will be mainly 3rd person based due to the game play but will have the option for 1st person.

Brief storyline of what our mod will be about!

In 2004 after the mistakes made by British and American Intel concerning Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction and a division known as only “Ghost Soldiers” Was founded and funded by world leaders in secret There main operations include gaining intelligence on possible threats on world peace and prevention of world peace threats. By the year 2012 the organization had grew significantly however still remain a large secret to the general world. There latest mission is too examine and bring down any possible threat posed by North Korea's suspected nuclear weapons program.
Rest Of Story Line TBA

Currently Ghost Soldiers mod is looking for people to join the team most positions have space for expansion but mainly we are looking for CODERS and MODEL SKINNERS. Because Ghost Soldiers mod is supported by X32 Developers they are offering free web space or any other negotiable web services eg site templates to all of the Ghost Soldiers team members!

If anyone is interested in joining the team they can msn or send an email to m_kooper@hotmail.com.

Currently the Ghost Soldiers site is down pending a major upgrade so I am having to use my hotmail but when it is back online it is at www.ghostsoldiersmod.com.

Welcome back, soldiers of the Fire War.

Here at the development team we must admit that the progress updates of our mod aren't as frequent as we'd like to, but we can also assure that there is nothing to worry about: The whole team is working day and night and things are coming along smooth as silk.

Without further ado, let's start by checking out what has been happening in the Modelling and Skinning front: Duran and Hectrol have respectively modeled and skinned this pair of grenades, that are now ready to be included in our already long list of weaponary - The Explosive Grenade, and the Toxic Grenade.

On the other hand, and in the conceptual front, our artist DAUS0N has been pumping artwork like crazy.
Here we have some superb eye candy: The logo that will represent our mod (the already classic side view of a soldier wearing a gas mask), coming with two awesome background flavors (biohazard or dawn sky).

DAUS0N has also drawn this impressive concept art of the USA Soldier -one of the player models that will be available in our MOD, and that is already being modeled as we speak.

Last, but not least, the guys from the spanish site ArenaZero.net have interviewed us. Hopefully they will be releasing the interview in spanish really soon, so we can make our best to bring it here, translated, for all our english fans.

...And that was all for this week. We will start making some weekly updates to this site -or at least some more frequent ones-, showing more stunning artwork and our pogress in the programming front (pretty much stunning, too, if anything).

Make sure to stay tuned, and thanks for listening!

Hi again, this update is to inform everyone who cares that the mod is still in development, and thanks to the dedicated team members that slight advance towards our beta 1 goal wont wither away, but we are in a predicament as of now. Without an expirenced coder and skinner we may come to a halt in development because of the lack of those two positions. Again we send a cry for help but this time hopefully, our voice is heard...

Hello everyone. Long time no news, but we're still on track. Today I can present you two new images, but first I'll have to mention again that we're still in search of members!
We've added a new team deathmatch mode to the game with smaller maps and limited content to get a fast milestone for playability.
Especially concept artists, modellers and texture artists are still badly needed. Anyways, on to the media:
This is a concept drawing of the soldier class by Gadreel.

The second image is a model of the laser pistol by me, the skin needs a lot of work still tho, so please see it as WIP. ^^. 1771 triangles for those who care.

Anyways, thanks for keeping tuned!

It took some time but it is finally here! Four new pieces of media have been added. Two have been added in Chapter I and another two in Chapter IV.

An additional two pieces of media can be expected on a later date, which will show off some more of both chapters one and four.

I hope these new pieces of media satisfy the needs of you fanboys for the upcoming few weeks! Also, feel free to ask and discuss away on the forums, which are practically dead at the moment.

Source: Hostile Intent
Due to the delay of 1.4, the modelling and animation team has been able to add a couple of new items to the Hostile Intent arsenal. These items include, but may not be limited to, the USP Tactical and the Colt 1911.

Here is another screen shot that was added 2/17/05 that shows off the newer and sharper 1911 skin. Along with the M4 carbine iron sights, since last month you were all dying to know how they looked.
