After five months of record registrations, the CPL will close the online registration to the Cyberathlete Extreme World Championships on Monday, May 31, 2004 for the following two categories: Competitor and BYOC (attendee). Offering registered competitors a last opportunity to complete their teams (or switch to other tournaments) the CPL has opened waiting lists spots for Counter-Strike, Halo PC, Call of Duty and Unreal Tournament 2004 competitions. Furthermore, new BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) spots are now available. This is the last chance for gamers to participate in the largest gaming competition of the year. Event attractions will include: five official computer game tournaments with $275,000 in cash prizes, a large 24-hour Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) area, CPL's largest exhibition area ever, large spectator arena, new stage hosted at the Intel pavilion, music concert, unofficial tournaments, over $100,000 in merchandise giveaways, and workshops.
