ABIT, the brand of choice for hardware enthusiasts worldwide, and the CPL today announced the addition of the ACON5 Counter-Strike qualifier for Turkey, as an additional tournament at the CPL World Tour Stop in Istanbul, Turkey. This tournament will offer $5,000 in cash prizes sponsored by Intel, and round trip airfare and hotel accommodations for the winning team to the ACON5 finals sponsored by ABIT. “We are happy to have ACON5 join the CPL World Tour Stop in Turkey”, stated Scott Valencia, Director of Worldwide Operations for the Cyberathlete Professional League. “The CPL World Tour is about the promotion of professional gaming worldwide, and we look forward to helping partners like ABIT to make this happen.” The Counter strike 1.6 tournament will use a 5 versus 5 team format with a maximum of 32 teams allowed; and will be hosted at Mydonose Showland venue in Istanbul, Turkey which will take place Friday, March 25 to Sunday, March 27, 2005.
