"In advance of the Counter-Strike: Source update we've mentioned here recently, we'll be releasing an update for Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. This update will include two new weapons (the StunStick and the Slam) as well as a return of the trusty crowbar. We've decided to also include a new map called "Steam Lab." Right around the same time, we'll be releasing the source code to Half-Life 2: Deathmatch in the SDK. This release will happen some time next week. Right now, we're shooting for Thursday the 17th. And just a quick note for those of you who have been asking -- yes, VAC 2 is coming."

Continuing our efforts to become a one-stop location for game server admins, United Admins is expanding its news page! You will now be able view news on anything game-server related such as new games, new modifications, new plug-ins, new updates and anything that's generally noteworthy. News is now sorted into categories as well which may be viewed directly by visiting the appropriate sub-domain (.unitedadmins.com). You can select a category from the dropdown at the top of all news pages.

We do, however, need your help. Since our staff is small, and our time limited, we need you to help us find newsworthy events! We now have a Submit News at the top of our news pages where you can start the news submission process. Not only will you get the warm and fuzzy feeling from knowing that you've helped out your fellow admins, but they will all see your name on the top of the story! What more could any self-respecting server administrator desire?

On a more serious note, the UA News Team would like to thank both Brain (Brian Stumm), and Mad-X (Kris Splittgerber) for their hard work on getting this together. This has been something we've been working on for a very long time now, and without the both of you it never would have come to fruition. Everyone give them a big Thank You!
