The CPL announced today that The Planet has signed a sponsorship agreement with the league. The Planet will provide servers for web, FTP, email, forums, and online registration, on a dedicated 100Mbit Internet connection located at its facilities in Dallas, Texas. Additionally, The Planet will be hosting all CAL gaming servers, including free play servers for the league's online tournaments.
The Planet will also have a large exhibition booth at this summer's Cyberathlete® Extreme World Championships, and will unveil a new national server program, focused on the current needs of hard-core and casual gamers alike. Internet connectivity at the event will be provided by The Planet.
