At DoDNetwork I found this quote by Waldo about the upcomming server patch 1.0b

Early testing of Mugsy's 1.0B SERVER patch is an overall reduced ping for everyone. Basically it's cutting down on some unnecessary network traffic. So hang in there you Whos in Whoville.

This patch is still in testing and still has some bugs that need to be ironed out, but it shout be out reletvly soon.

The 1.0b patch is for servers ONLY the v1.1 client patch will not be released for some months yet
