A nice interview with the people from The Battle for Baghdad is available at TGE.
TGE: Right, down to the gritty details. How did you develop the idea of Battle for Baghdad?

wormie: Well, BFB was originally the idea of a guy named noclip. Noclip got the idea when he was watching a news report I believe where some Marines were battling for a bridge that led into Baghdad. He originally developed the mod as a Desert Combat expansion on the BF1942 engine and after a while he moved on to workin on his own engine and I decided to take it over BFB and lead it. Then after watching the HL2 movie from last summer I decided to switch engines.

TGE: Sounds interesting. Could you describe the general story for us?

wormie: Well basically it take's place during the Second Gulf War which we know as Operation Iraqi Freedom, Telic, and Falconer. It follows the United State's Army, United States Marine Corps, Australian Army, and British Royal Commandos as they fight their way from the Iraqi/Kuwaiti Border all the way to Baghdad, and the Soldiers in the North moving south into Baghdad.
