As promised, I am back with hi_offshore! This new update, provided by none other than OpticHelix, makes hi_offshore the best looking work environment ever offered by Caleman Corp. Optic was also nice enough to work in a few layout changes, which make hi_offshore less of an occupational hazard.

Testing continues on, and little bugs are being found, and squashed. The goon squad we sent after Rifter have stepped up the pressure with some good results. He’s hard at work compiling and tweaking the player models.

Expect more from us soon!

I'm finally back in NY and getting back to a regular schedule again. My sleep pattern has been off quite a bit as of late, so I've been putting some of that time to productive use.

To that, I put together the high quality version of Still Seeing Breen - version 1.1 in WMV format. Actually, there's a few more tweaks to it since the low quality WMV, but nothing radical, so I left the version number the same (and updated the low quality as well). I had a number of requests for this version, so hopefully the wait was worth it.

In addition to these versions, I was forced to consider one more format. This week saw the latest volley of the handheld media players - a huge salvo called the Sony PSP. I preordered mine back in January as I had been anticipating its release since playing with one at E3 last year. I can wax on about how great a little device it is, but there's plenty of sites/blogs doing that. Still, I'm in love with the damn thing, so I immediately created an MP4 for it.

Ok, I'll be back in a day or so, with thoughts on some great new Machinima works I've come across (yes, I'll be finally covering something other than this vid). Huzzah!

The Fortress Forever developers have spent the time since Monday's Vernal Equinox and Easter trying to stand eggs vertically, to no avail. And though Easter is just another pagan celebration co-opted to religious ends, we here feel obligated to help you all celebrate... by fueling fantasies about killing online opponents for personal enjoyment.

Sev and Decs have been busy hiding colored reproductive vessels of chickens, as have the Trepids, though we wouldn't suggest consuming Jesse or Jon's fare. Meanwhile, Monsieur Eat has made sure that the white eggs are especially difficult to find.

As always, thar' be more of the same awaiting you after the jump to the Media section.

Firstly, we're very sorry that the release is taking so long, and we're glad to say that there is only a handful of tasks left, including the last of the bugs, a few sprites, some models to compile and a manual to finish. The maps are done, the gameplay works, and we can't wait to let our beast of a mod into the wild, so to pass the time while we finish up our work, heres some more in-game screen shots to look at.

Well it’s been a little while since our last update, here’s a little taste of what’s going on at IronGrip lately.

We’ve added 4 people to the staff:
FatJoe and David are our newest modelers, working on the 3D effects and layouts for the last 10 days. Sonic has joined as our sound effects engineer; giving us all the custom sounds we could ever want. The Knightmare has come on board as our PR and Marketing guru, he’ll be handling all the news updates and making sure the Irongrip name makes it out to the world.

Keep your eyes peeled to the front page of Irongrip, we will be releasing the first of many teasers highlighting the new developments in the days come. But for now, here’s a little sample of the amazing audio Sonic has created and some new weapon renders to go with it!

Are You interested in helping the IronGrip team? Have you got the skills to help make this project a huge success? Think you’ve got what it takes? PROOVE IT!!!
We’re looking for help in the texture, modelling and mapping department. Send us an email at info@irongrip.net and tell us why you should be considered for the IronGrip team. Send us some examples of what you’ve done and we’ll put you to work

Next week we'll begin beta testing the new Valve Anti-Cheat system. For people playing multiplayer games, there will not be any visible difference while we're conducting the beta, but we will be logging cheating violations into our database to make sure it's ready for general release. This will be the last public notice before the system is released and active for everyone.

If you have any cheats for multiplayer games installed on your computer, now would be a good time to uninstall and stop using them. When a cheat infraction is detected, the offender will be permanently banned from playing on secure servers.

In lighter news, work is progressing on Lost Coast, that is the level we've built to showcase a new piece of rendering technology coming to Source called High Dynamic Range lighting, first mentioned here. Valve's Doug Lombardi will be showing the level on G4 TV next Wednesday, March 30th. More information on the broadcast is available here.
