In case you haven't noticed already, we've been updating our website several times during the last weeks.

airon has finished recording the breathing sounds, read more about it in the sounds .plan. We've been testing them along with other new stuff, more info can be found here.

For our die-hard fans we have an Advent calendar where we reveal a little surprise every day!

But we also have some media for this newspost - a recent screenshot from the map backyard with new basketball hoop models, made by Vaarscha.

Because of a scheduling error, the maintenance did not take place on Thursday night. It has now been rescheduled for Monday 19th at 1:00am CST. While the maintenance/upgrades should not take more than an hour, I've been advised to allow for a maximum of 4 hours. Once again I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but it will improve the performance of the server.

On a more pleasant note, I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas :)

This is to inform you there will be some maintenance taking place at midnight tonight (15th December) which will take a maximum of 4 hours, quite likely a lot less. During this time all services will be down. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but it will improve the performance of the webserver overall.

As a general update to our members on the network;

While we have been a little stagnant on any kind of progression in our services, we are hoping to put some nice changes into effect in 2006. The most notable will be a major overhaul on EdgeFiles. I want to personally apologize for how lacking that particular service has been considering you have been required to use it. The main site, edgenetwork.org, will be undergoing some changes and not appear as lifeless as it does currently.

Lastly, we have not been properly enforcing our adcode rules on all sites thus far. We have a list of sites not obeying the rules which will soon be notified. In the meantime please check you are following our rules and make any adjustments necessary. The current requirements and methods of implementing these ads can be found here:

After months of planning and development Mod DB v3 (www.moddb.com - a leading resource for finding, downloading, developing and discussing mods) is out, and receiving a solid thrashing from the public.

The latest version introduces numerous enhancements, with the following being some of the larger changes:

* New Design & Logo
A new *gaming themed* design and logo which allows easy navigation, so you can get the mods you want, when you want!

* Tabbed Environment
With twice the information shown, we had to find a way to present it without requiring a PHD education to work out the sites navigation. Enter a tab-based design which allows information to be logically grouped and easily accessed.

* Many more small improvements
Accurate searches, a detailed help wanted listing and comprehensive tutorials are just the tip of the iceberg with many more exciting new features & functionality to be unveiled in the coming days.

I realized the other night that I haven't released a lot of info about Hammy-Bob Mod 3.1337. Luckily MasterChopChop had a solution to this problem we decided to make a trailer to show everyone all the amazing new features added to HBM 3.1337 that not only are funny but also speed up the game play and help make the mod a better Death Match experience. So I hope everyone enjoys the video and watch out for a message at the end that shall make all the HBM fans very happy ;). Also thank you MasterChopChop for making this great trailer.

Hey all, we are still around. We know we havent released many updates lately, but we are still working hard and making alot of progress behind closed doors. However we do have some news to release. Alpha.

We'll be releasing an alpha on December 25th, at 12AM EST.

A while back we mentioned of this release, but only on our forums. We stated that it would be a beta release, however we decided that with all the content we will be adding soon, thats when we should be in beta stages. All the content we will be releasing will still be the same as we mentioned when we first talked about the alpha release, but instead of being an beta, it will be an alpha.

Things included in the alpha will be:
  • 8 Weapons. ( PP7, KF7, AutoShotgun, ZMG, Golden Gun, Proximity\\Remote\\Timed mines, and both the throwing and hunting knives.

  • 4 maps. ( Facility, Facility Backzone, Egyptian, Control )

  • 3 Character models. ( Bond, Oddjob, Ourumov )

  • 3 Gameplay modes. ( Deathmatch, License to Kill, Man with a Golden Gun )

*Note: All content listed is subject to change, so we may have more available by the release.

If you have any questions on what will and will not be added, or questions about the current listed content, please visit our forums.

Today marks yet another media release from the D.E.A.D dev team..

Another month, another media release...

This media release is mainly to showcase some of our custom content that is being included into our level designs, along with showing off a new mapper that has joined our team "Oski" who is working on an asylum map of his own design. We also have a couple really cool models from RubberChicken, a prop bus and a new weapon, the hunting bow, which will be a great addition to the game. Along with those we have some new shots of one of our new player hands, modeled by Joohoo, skinned by CraigF and rigged/animated by Evolution.

As usual we are also asking for help, we still have a few spots that need filling or extra help, these spots are:

  • Player Modeling

  • Weapon Modeling

  • Skinning, both player and weapon

  • Mapping

  • Custom Textures

  • Animation
