Jurassic Rage have updated there site with a new design, completed there sound library, lots of eye candy and they have also released more info about the gameplay.

Info:

The other aspect of Jurassic Rage that has evolved immensely since its release is the Deathmatch Cooperative Gameplay (DMCOOP) that Jurassic Rage created. Jurassic Rage is the first mod to ever implement this idea. Starting with 2 teams of player controlled Humans who play against eachother through an intense storyline (created entirely by the JR team), and then evolving into much more with a 3rd team of AI (Artificial Intelligence) Controlled Dinosaurs that will haunt both teams simultaneously. Not only do you have to worry about the other human player that will try to stun baton you behind the corner, but you better watch out for the raptors looking for an easy meal

Gaming Nexus have interviwed Marc Laidlaw from VALVe.

Here's a snippet:

Gaming Nexus: You were there from the beginnings of the company. Tell me what's it like seeing the company grow, expand, and become an important part of the PC gaming community.

Marc Laidlaw: It’s been fun to be part of Valve’s growth, and of course it’s an honor to have become part of such a creative, lively community. But I can also get nostalgic about the early days, when it was a smaller, close-knit, almost family-like group. The last five years have really flown by, from my point of view. It seems like only yesterday that we released HL1 and Team Fortress Classic, and watched the MODs start coming in, and started talking about what kind of things we’d like to do for a follow-up.

Hey Fans,

Today we have some really great news and some not so good news. First I’ll go ahead and tell you the bad news.

The bad news is that Death Octimus has unfortunately left us due to his real life taking over way too much time for him to participate in any modifications.

Now on for the good news! Stereo Type Anomaly, our new music artist, and his trusty side kick Keelei Braswell, have been working on new music for High Octane! There are six new songs for you guys to enjoy and they are all master pieces.

[ Song Four ]- [ Download ]

[ Song Six ] -[ Download ]

Next, I will be representing High Octane this Sunday on Half-Life Radio once more, so if you have any unanswered questions this will be the best time to ask. You will be able to tune into the stream live here sunday night 8:00pm EST / 5:00pm PST / 1:00am GMT.

So with all this being said I would like to wish Death Octimus best wishes and good luck.

Action Half-Life version 1 has been released.

Info:

Action Half Life is designed to simulate the experience of being in an Action movie. Movies like Hard Boiled, Face Off, and Die Hard are the inspiration for AHL. AHL aims for something called 'Movie Realism.' This means that you can take a few bullets and keep fighting. You can fall from a two story roof and only hurt your leg. You can bandage a wound in seconds. This doesn't mean you're invincible however, as hits to the head from large caliber weapons are instantly fatal, but a headshot even from a small pistol will put you within an inch of your life. Of course, stunts play a large part in action movies, and likewise, play a large part in AHL. Dives, rolls, and long jumps can be executed for style and tactical advantage. There's nothing quite like diving through a window and capping the bad guy in the head before you hit the ground. This is a game of style and fun, not obsessive realism.

Hre's the changelog:

- [FIXED] Problem with server not re-executing the server.cfg after certain rounds causing temporary bans to not be tracked accurately.
