Wow! We have come a long way since last year. We have retrieved 600 news items since our start. So keep sending in the news, hosting requests, file mirror requests, POTD's and don't forget to post on the forums.

Half-Life Gaming started out quite weak but has gathered strength against overwhelming odds. For a game that has already had a community (PHL) for so long it is a wonder that sites like this do so well, but we do. On behalf of the entire HLG team I would like to wish you very Happy Holidays.

We've kept you waiting for well over a month now, with no new pics or graphic content. Firstly I'd like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays. The team has been working though, we dont like slacking , and all this work eventually accumulated and seeing as christmas is only a few days away, we thought it would be a good present for you guys. We have lots to go over, so lets take this one step at a time.

Firstly, new arrivals to the team. I'd like to introduce to you all Sven, a new artist, Duff, our new mapper and C_Sharp, the latest addition to the modelling team. Lastly I would like to re-introduce Syncr0, who used to work on ES1 and recently regrouped with us for concept art.

Secondly, the site updates. Unfortunatly bUsh wasn't able to pull through with those changes in time, although you should be seeing them crop up in the next few days. I also know some of you were misinformed that the site was getting a facelift, the anwser to that would be no. Now for the good news, we have just recently setup a gallery script, fully loaded with all the major ES pics of the different equipment for both sides.

An update to Steam has been released to fix a problem that a small number of users have experienced when attempting to launch. Users who experienced this bug would see the initial progress bar reach 99% and not progress any further.

Users who are currently in this state should download and run this installer in their current Steam directory.

After the "Assault on Roswell" you destroyed the Alien Virus. at least you think you did !, it seems you yourself were infected and have become a carrier of this mind altering disease and are the unwilling host bringing the virus to your place of birth Portown. (a medium sized town on the coast.) With increasing intensity the pains in your head and the epileptic seizures you endure along with the alarming waking nightmares of unknown evil beings bring you to the conclusion you must find a cure or die trying, with most of Portown losing control with the disease, you have become the Avatar and the last hope of civilization, but at the same time you are the Reaper of all despair and destruction. The future is in your hands ultimate evil or ultimate salvation. The choice is yours are you up to it?

After going to see your Scientist friends at the Black Mess-up Facility they confirmed you were indeed infected with an Alien Virus and that they had no cure as yet but said that the head of Black Mess-up wanted someone to return to Portown to contain the Virus and as you spread it in the first place you seemed like the most obvious choice.

He also said that if no cure was found then elimination of all suspected contaminants must be completed and you must take the Red Pill (not the white one) when you have completed this mission!

Our first news: Our website is up and working perfect thanks to Prozak. We also just released our Public Design Document so read that to get a generalized idea of the mod. Note: I did not include the space section becase I do not feel it is ready to be released, yet.

I am also in the process of hiring new team members so just drop me your application to:
briguy992@sbcglobal.net with Destiny Forbidden Application as the subject. Any and all positions will most likely be accepted.
