After many months of inactivity, I've returned with yet another version of HLIT. Sorry that it's been so long, but real life stepped in, and pushed HLIT to the side. However, at least as of now, I'm back. Below is a changelog from v1.19e to v1.30. Enjoy the release.

Yes, it's true! Only one more day to go until we release Hostile Intent v1.1. It will be released tomorrow, Sunday the 15 of Feb. We haven't set a precise time yet though, but you will see it when you see it.
To celebrate our impending release we decided to take some screenshots during testing sessions and show them to you. It's almost like watching a soap opera, it has seriousness, yet also drama, romance, people acting like idiots and just really silly moments. Check it yourself.

Our newest modeler Mitlancer has been hard at work, and has completed 3 of the 5 German weapon models, the Mauser G98 and C-96, as well as the 1915 Stick Grenade. The models hover around 1800-2100 poly, and are nothing but the highest quality work, as you can plainly see =)

Be sure to give Mitlancer your gratitude, and be on the lookout for more Mitlancer weapons, hes currently working on the Maxim 08 and the Maxim 08/15 (the last of the two German weapons).

As we get closer and closer to the release of Hostile Intent 1.1 on the 15th; I'd like to take this time to give you guys a real treat. I've been working hard lately hidden from the community eye on bringing back our classic Hostile Intent maps that never made it in our 1.0 release.

A few days ago we gave you a tease (yes, a tease) of hi_majesty; yet today I want to highlight hi_deadbolt2 by George Pooshoes, who is also the creator of hi_jungle, and hi_deadbolt1. George sadly left our community years ago to be with his job as naturally an employed level designer for a company in the UK. I've been spending the past months cleaning up these classic maps by adding the finishing touches on these works of art and converting them for playability with Hostile Intent. So without further delay, I give you hi_deadbolt2 which should be included in our 1.1 release!

There has been a small update released to Steam this evening. This release only affects the non-English versions of the game, where there were a few lines of text that were incorrectly being shown in English.

Kent, UK – 9th February 2004 – The Thunderbolt Network is pleased to announce the continuing development progress of its new website, Clan Recruiter. The site is scheduled for an early March 2004 launch and is set to unite players and clans around the world.

“Clan Recruiter is progressing at a rapid pace,” said Philip Morton, director of The Thunderbolt Network. “We’ve been tweaking the structure and design so that when it goes live, it’ll be as user friendly as it can be. We’re also aiming for a March 1st launch date – we said early March and we want to make that date. So many things are delayed these days and we don’t want to follow that trend.”

Clan Recruiter’s design has been altered and a preview of this can be found at www.clanrecruiter.net/preview/. This shows the new layout and graphics that are likely to be in the final version. Beta testing will also be commencing soon, with Clan Recruiter’s newly formed moderator and development team to make sure that it’s fully functioning and bug-free before launch.

Clan Recruiter will be launching in early March 2004. In the meantime, gamers should check the new site’s news section for updates. Expect more news soon.
