Some new content has been added over the last week or so, slowly, as the submissions come in.
As im sure you've no doubt already noticed, ive added a few new sections to the site. A Resources section to aid those looking to get their feet wet in modding. It covers all aspects of modifacation (except) coding.
That being said, if you've ever written a tutorial or want to write one, submit it to us, and well post it on the site for others to view and learn from.
To learn more about submitting tutorials, see this thread in the forums.

The Half-Life section has also been changed to incorporate single-player models due to demand.

Thats it for this week, get those submissions in!

The WW team is holding a small contest for ways for you to become a beta tester. We are not to far off to needing some help and I figured I'd make it a challenge. The info and rules are on the site!

The WW modDB Porfile is very active and WW Gallery has two new exclusives.

The new site for WW is being worked on and will be up next month. We have never really pimped or asked for channel surfers or idlers to hang but the staff feels alone in the #waterwarsmod via gamesurge so if you have 10 minutes or the rest of your life stop over and annoy them please.

HalfLife2.net had the chance to interview us before their site went down temporarily and before our big update, but now it is available (seeing as their site is back)!

Here is an excerpt:

Halflife2.net: You mention that realism will be a major focus of the mod... could you give an example of the trade offs that you are making between that and game play?

Argyll: Game play is also a very important aspect along with realism in the mod. How we envision the game play is to have a high replayability factor and promotion of teamwork. We will not sacrifice fun or other essential game play elements for the sake of 'realism.'

You can read the rest of the interview here.

I would also like to personally thank the community for the tremendous positive response to our big update. It was great morale boost to see the encouraging comments to the team as they had worked very hard to get this content available for you all to see. We also have some more high quality work to display in the very near future!

There has already been some new content released in the Development Showcase Forum, so go and check it out!

Note: You must be a registered member of the Forums to see.

There is already a slight bug but it is only if you run a server via HLDS. The bug is that two of the power-ups do not work. I am working to find a solution and will release a server side patch when I have it fixed.

I trust you will appreciate I did not see a need to delay the release for such a small issue.

The download is the FULL version and is 31.5 MB

Well, it is my pleasure to finnally show you some spanking new map & ingame pics. This is a map that I(the_Leprechaun) have been working on for the Trenches first release. This is a trench map, and is possibly going to be the only trench map in the beta. The map is called tb_trenchstorm and it is a team battle map. Please note that the ammo hud at the bottom right is not our ammo hud. Also, I did not use crosshairs in taking this pictures, but be assured, there WILL be crosshairs in The Trenches.

I would also like to take this time to tell you that we have released a map models pack. The pack can be found here. Have a good time!

From the "mods I thought I could nerver play" category, HL Rally was the first one : so ambitious, bringing so beautiful pictures from cars... I would have imagined it just lost as Matrix TC or Pokemon or other mods I forgot. But here it comes after some complicated stories...

Greg, our crazy reviewer has just finished a complete review from the HL Rally mod that has been released for few days.

The reviews contains 4 parts and about thirty screenshots.

There is a new interview with Charlie "Flayra" Cleveland up on http://www.readyroom.org. It has some Q&A about the NS beta, the future of NS, and Unknown Worlds. Don't miss this! While you're there, check out the user-made Marine vs. Marine combat action, and their custom map bonanza.

We are hard at work on beta 4, and will be releasing it Friday, April 23rd. It will include map updates, HLTV fixes, balance changes and...the ns_bast remake! You can't even tell this isn't the real bast, except when you see your pings. It's going to be so great to have bast back! Thanks guys!

We will also be using this beta to start testing our unannounced new system (see previous news updates), so expect to hear more about that soon.

Finally, even though it should've been done a long time ago, we'd like to officially welcome Karl "XP-Cagey" Patrick to the NS team. He's been working too hard and far too competetently for too long for us to ignore any more. You'll see the fruits of his labors soon enough.
