I want to welcome tdw to the Project: Guilty team! Tdw is a leveldesigner and has made some excellent maps(Sandstone) for svencoop and I'm quite excited that he joined. He is going to help with the aztec/mayan missions. This will certainly speed up the progress of Project: Guilty v1.2 which is very nice. You can expect screenshots of his work over awhile.
Also here are some screenshots from level 6 and 7.

We've been discussing this in the forums, and a lot of people seemed to want a 'themed' contest, and a lot seemed to want 'flat-shaded' maps. Some peons even wanted texture limitation, and I personally wanted to have 'incorrect dimensions'.

So, seeing as we're a democracy ruled by a dictator, we're going to have a themed competition, but what the theme is is up to you. Flat shaded, texture limitation, concept art again, too big/too small, whatever- make a map with some kind of twist to it. It's the last HL competition we're ever going to have, so go for it and make your last ever HL map! The only limitation is it should be a playable Half-Life Deathmatch map (i.e. have weapons and player starts, and not have stupidly high r_speeds). You can "retheme" existing, released maps if you want, but we will be biased against them unless there's a fairly radical change (this rule doesn't apply to existing but unreleased maps).

Bearing in mind it is the summer and a lot of people will be having exams, the deadline will be set for Sunday 1st August. Of course, should HL2 come out before that (you never know..!) the date will be changed. We'll also see about prizes and getting the entries properly judged this time! And seeing as it's quite a long time, we'll let you submit up to two maps.

If you're a bit confused or have any questions/comments, visit this forum thread

We're back online with a new website and a buch of new stuff to show off.
We updated the media and the concept art sections. There you'll find new models plus old ones now skinned. If you want, you can also add comments to the renders now.
There is a new Links section, so if you have a website and you want to link us, drop us a line and we'll add your banner onto the links page.

Version 1.1 of CS:CZ will be released next week via Steam. The update includes a new "Buy Package" system for buying favorite loadouts quickly, the CS:CZ Custom Mission Creation Kit, all new player and weapon models, new audio content, and other enhancements.

The new purchase system features four user-definable “Buy Packages.” Each Package represents a complete equipment load out, allowing players to define everything from their primary weapon to how much ammo to buy to fallback options if money is tight.

With the CS:CZ Mission Creation Kit, MOD authors can create their own Tour of Duty Mission Packs with custom challenges, bot personalities, bot skins, and more. These MOD Mission Packs can then be distributed to players as Zip files. When installed, the new mission pack will automatically appear within CZ’s mission menu.

For more information on CS:CZ please visit www.counter-strike.net.
