Today I have the pleasure of announcing the release of 15 Battle Grounds Maps Source files.!

All of them are the creations of (former and present) team members and some of them date back to BG versions 0.5, 0.55 and 0.6.
A large amount of these maps have never had a public release in any shapre before.

These maps have their source released, under an open source license to all mappers.
They (and a lot of extra information) are available as zip file in this forum thread here

Happy Modding.

I will be writing an article for HL2central.net in which I will tell how mods can protect themselves from something like this, as well as a legal consultant email address they can refer to if they get in trouble. We here at HL2central.net do NOT endorse those who took the mod away through illegal methods and will NOT be posting news from this rogue group. I suggest the immature individuals who have done this rethink their actions and pull back together. Until then, good luck to No More Room in hell.

It seems that certain people that were previously affiliated with No More Room in Hell decided to try a hostile take over of the site. The site was deleted in the end and the passwords were changed so they could no longer gain access to the website. As of yesterday MrCoder, Editor321, and CS are no longer part of NMRH.

I would personally like to apologies to the Half-Life community for not acting sooner when the problems happened. When the group listed above left they decided to take with them the entire NMRH forum database and the site. All of this information belongs and is owned by Sandizzle. Hell I helped him get the site up so I know what I am talking about.

I am asking you for my support in not endorsing their modification in anyway. The true NMRIH is here at Half-Life Gaming (www.nomoreroominhell.com). Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated. Here at Half-Life Gaming we strive to protect the work of its author. Stealing others work is a crime here in the United States and Canada where the mod is now hosted.

Hi, everyone it's Iced_Eagle here. I hope you all enjoyed yesterday's weekly update and everyone, please no droll on the forums I told you that would be an amazing piece of work. Anyways, onto the help request.

Eternal-Silence 2 is now looking for animators! We do ask that you have a team spirit, willing to communicate and take criticism, and of course, have some previous work to show us.

If you are a skilled animator please contact MMW by going into the "Staff" page from the Main Menu, and then clicking on his name, and finally click on "E-Mail" to e-mail MadMechWarrior and then tell him why you want to be an animator, if possible put your work on webspace, and put that in your e-mail. Any other things (especially contact information!) please include that like past experience etc etc.

So yes, you can get back to watching the cloaking video and pretend that is you flying the ship. Don't worry, we won't tell anyone you still go into cardboard boxes with a stick and pretend to fly those ships.

Is HL Radio coming to a local radio station near you? It just might! Already we are negotiating with 3 radio stations that want to broadcast our shows between the hours of 12am-3am their time. The current markets are: West Palm Beach FL, Miami FL, and New York. This is only the first step on going nationwide as other radio affiliates negotiate contracts on syndication. When the current contracts are signed, the full market share will allow over 10 million listeners to hear HL Radio. We will announce more news on this during the live show on Wednesday night.

As we announced on HL Radio last week, there will be 2 different theatres for the upcoming Half Life 2 E3 presentation. HL Radio will be broadcasting live from E3, and all of us from HL Source will be on location to give you the details. Lots of new stuff coming! Don't say that we didn't already tell you so. :)

Well Iced is absent again, or we just don't know where he is and we want to give the folks in sweden their update on sunday, so im going to post the update.

So, im sure everyone has been wondering what this special thing we we're going to bring up this week is. Well i'll keep that for later, first off, I'd like to welcome enzodiac back from a long, long vacation. He brings back with him 2 pictures of the hacking computer.

Now since that's done, we can get to the real surprise. MichealT, our new addition to the team has cooked up something never before seen (as far as I know, proove me wrong) on a half-life mod. I would like to introduce our cloaking field shader:

Cloaking Shader Video

And there's plenty more where that came from. Eternal Silence will be one of the few mods with custom shaders and we will make very good use of them. Effects like Parallax Bump Mapping (seen in the recent Unreal3 engine) are already being worked on by myself and the rest of the coding crew.

Folks it is time again for an update on Water Wars. Coding is coming along slow, gameplay is coming along though, also particle engine is slowly coming to the front. We have a couple of requests we need to make. One is for a coder to help work out a few bugs and help us finish weapons and gameplay. We also need a spriter, to help us make our weapon sprites, and tweak our hud sprites. Were also looking for a mapper, to make one map for Water Wars.

Stay tuned for further news updates.
