Well , Once again we are hit with a delay in the development in SoV. With the recent resignation of Mike , I'm happy to say that we are under development. This will probably be the stage in which Shores of Victory finally gets released. The team fights , the miscommunication , and certainly the non working stages in this mod have finally ended for the fact that we don't have a barrier and or obstacle to get through. The Mod is NOT dead

Our coder Exec is almost done with school, with that said , he will be able to kill this stupid bug that has been haunting us for a while. Once again when that is fixed the beta testers (if they are still alive) well be testing non-stop because we will need their assistance. All maps and models are set and ready to be put ingame.

I would also like to announce that SoV will be going porting to Half Life 2 once it comes out but will continue on the Half Life 1 engine. Half Life 2 engine capabilities are great and we feel that SoV would be really interesting on it.

Stay tuned for more information , we are almost there and its gonna be great.

It's the end of the week again and that means Eternal Silence 2 is updating its website. This week we have lots of info to give you, but no art (go figure).

Firstly, I am happy to announce we have found our banner contest winner. His name is alex and his 2 links are on the left.

He will be given access to the beta forum and play the game before everyone else. The close runner up is koko with his eagle banner, which I have also posted on the left.

Congratulations to all who participated and the winners.

In other news, the site has undergone some transformations in the past few days and these will continue to happen as we introduce the FAQ and story sections today. The background info behind each side has already been posted as well as the first prologue from the actual story. This is top notch work done by our very own X-Ray. Here is an excerpt from the prologue:

QUOTE
His seat shuddered underneath him as the Vice rocketed to its rendezvous point. Before he knew it, enemy fighters were swarming past the ship. Letting out reluctant creaks and groans, the turret machinery followed his movements, letting out blasts of energy at every pull of the trigger. The ship lurched as it was hit again and again by enemy fire, a feeling that had been unfamiliar up until now. Had the other ships not arrived? Something was not right.

A very nice read for those who are interested. Check it out here.

We will be developping the characters and story overtime and possibly in the game aswell. This is going to be a very good piece of writing, so stay tuned for more of it.

The great people behind PCGamer have once again mentioned HLRally in their magazine. This time, we have been shown in the July 2004 issue under the Extended Play column as one of the July Mods Of The Month. While they don't write much about HLRally, it's always encouraging to see acknowledgment in a well known publication. The July issue of PCGamer is currently on news stands across the US.

Today will mark our sixth weekly update. I must say, the last month and a half has been an interesting time. All the ideas for Black Dragon have been coming together very nicely. Additionally, many new features are also being introduced on a weekly basis. All the feedback that we have received, both good and bad, has been welcome and appreciated.

Recent discussions within the team have sparked some pretty important changes. One of these is a change of the EAAA name. From now on, EAAA will be known as the Joint Eastern Confederation (JEC). This replacement was created through discussions within our forums and we are much more comfortable with JEC rather then just EAAA.

The rest of the changes that are coming will be reflected in an update of the back-story. Numerous changes were discussed. All of them will help to add more depth to the Black Dragon universe.

Unfortunately, with all these discussions, and many busy schedules, media production has slowed down. Nevertheless, we still have one new concept to share with you today. This piece shows off a Unity infantry transport vehicle. We welcome all feedback. See you all next week.

Since 1997 the Cyberathlete Professional League's goal has been to highlight the competitive computer gaming community, by producing world-class live interactive entertainment events, thus establishing the CPL as one of the most credible and most popular computer gaming leagues in the world.
But the CPL must look towards the future and recreate itself to allow the mainstream to enjoy our new sport as much as the gaming community does. So today, the CPL has announced the new 2005 "CPL World Tour" with one million dollars in cash prizes, the largest cash prize ever. The tour will include ten worldwide stops. Additionally, the CPL has forged new partnerships that will make the "CPL World Tour" a broad media event, including television, print and extensive online coverage.

The complete "CPL World Tour" announcement is scheduled for the final ceremony of the Cyberathlete Extreme World Championships, taking place Wednesday, July 28 to Sunday, August 1, 2004 at the brand new Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

Welcome to a new era of gaming!
