All I have to say about this one: 'About damn time'
Counter-Hack is reporting that VALVe is finally starting to take legal action against cheating sites. The site of the creators of the OGC hack has been taken down. Others also went down, either because VALVe threatened them as well or because they fear that VALVe will do so soon. One of the site's host asks for legal help on this case, can we say "0wned"?

Thanks goes out to Raven for pointing this out to me.
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is being bundled with the ASUS' set of ATI Radeon X800 Pro and X800 XT-based video cards. It's surprising that a game like CZ is going to be thrown in with a top-of-the-line graphics solution, but I guess that's how the weed tumbles. In any case, this absolutely explains the CS2 bundling rumors.

Time for our second ever update on our new site!
First things first, I have slightly dissapointing news. 3 team members will be leaving us for a variety of reasons. We have to say goodbye to Lobster, Pyrus, and Devine_Devil. We thank them, for everything they\\'ve done for us, and wish them good luck!

Next up is an interview we gave with FPSCentral ! You can read it here !

Finally, we have some new media for you! Hiro has pretty much finished up the SA-80A2, and Ran has modeled and skinned a K-bar for us!

The site is now completely done. The forum's been restyled to fit the site.
Hope you like it. Hanzie and myself worked hard to get it this way.

Both our maps are making progress as well. Screens will be posted in due time.

Related: Off Limits
This should be a very nice mod. So check them out.
We just opened the new site of our mod, Off Limits. You'll find a lot of new content; renders and concept art, new forums, and lots more at http://www.off-limits.be. For those that don't know us yet, here is some more info on the mod and a small part of the work we've done so far.
What?
Off Limits is a Halflife 2 team-based multiplayer modification focusing on gameplay. The game is set in a postapocalyptic near future and is all about the hunt for a small AI-driven, virtually invulnerable hostile alien.
Concept:
Two teams will hunt for the alien. The Vanguard team will dispose of one railgun, the only weapon that can destroy the alien. The Rogues team on the other hand will see the creature's position on radar, allowing them to intercept the Vanguard hunter. The team that makes the kill, wins the round.
Add some boobytraps and other interesting equipment; a few driveable vehicles; varying map locations in a destroyed world and a spawnsystem designed to maximize gaming time without making the game all about spawnpoints; and you're in for a treat.
Pimpage!
This is a part of the weapons we've modeled so far (almost 30 in total) :
H&K USP Stainless

Mossberg Custom Shotgun

Beretta Target

VT Savior IX

Our vehicles:
Yamaha XJR 1300

Boxer MRAV

Skinned renders:
SKMX 99

AMP Tecnical Services DSR-1

Muela Outdoor Axe

We are looking for:
In order of importance:
- Animators (both weapon and character)
- Character modelers
- Character skinners

We Realise we've been slacking off on the updates lately so the team has whipped up a couple of treats for you. First though we have some bad news to share. A few days ago we took on a Texture Artist who was going by the alias of Eyez (were sure he has many) and who was, basically, a dirty fraud. Oldfaq, leader of Operation: Shadow Phoenix, was fairly quick to alert us and he has now been kicked from the mod and thankfully banned from about half the editing community (courteousy of Cahan). You can read up on it (and more importantly find his IP) here.

Now some good news. We are officially announcing the first TSV map, tsv_peronne. Based around the Allied victory towards the end of the war at the city of Peronne, we think Adolf has captured the assault on the outskirts of the town well.

The map section will be updated soon with all info. Were also waiting for new pictures of Quakers map tsv_beaucourt which is almost complete and two other maps in production.

Weve also temporarily removed the old renders of the weapon models. They were somewhat rushed and were not properly inspected by the leaders or historians, but so far we have fixed about half of them they just need to be rerendered. But on the upside, we have our first fully skinned model to show off, the 1917 Stielhandgranate.

Finally, weve taken the communities input onboard and the French won't be making it into the HL demo. There are plenty of upsides to this that should more than outweigh the lose. Signing off!
