Today we hired PermaGrin to work with MonkeyPhonic and PiMuRho on the modeling of the Dead 6.

From his sample works, and his attitude, we expect to see great things from him.

Everyone give him a warm welcome, and a huge thanks for helping out with the team!!!!

Source: FLF 2: Defiance
Well, i'm in a place of being right now where that i can continue work on FLF 2.0 (not defiance!, 1.9 has been skipped, and instead it shall be known from 4 months ago forth, as Front Line Force 2.0).

Anyway, I've been fixing many bugs and tweaking a lot of the existing 1.9/2.0 features the past few days, and testing will resume again shortly. As soon as it's deemed releasable, we will release it. I have no ETA on that, and i will not even hazard a guess.

Anyway, If you're new, stick around! The new version will be out as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or whatnot, feel free to step into our IRC channel, or post on the forums. Irc is located on GameSurge in either #flf2 or #frontline (frontline was re-opened specifically for 2.0, but more people are in #flf2)

Have fun!

We have been working, stuffs been slow. Animators are hard to come by im guessing, especially working on this project. We have a couple, but the goings been slow, like real life issues, among other things. coding is going well, and we are looking at getting done with it very soon.

I know you have heard this before, but dammit we are doing what we can, with who we can. If you are experenced hl animator, step up and come in here and help us out, so we can release, cause trust me, we want you to play it as much as we want too.

We have to tighten up the weapons damage code, we need some more maps, and we need to get the players done. thats it, its the only thing holding this game in alpha mode. like i siad, you want to help, holla at me, we need this done.

Well it has been a while since I have updated. A lot is going on in Dire and we are working hard. Concept is being made for the hybrids and we are trying to get a final version that we can set in stone. Music and sound FX are being worked on for the mod as well. The Dire forum is dead lately, we need help getting it back up. I want all the team and fans to post on it and get it back and running. Its a tool that we greatly need to hear what everyone wants out of this mod so we can take fan's suggestions.

Also, Dire has an IRC channel now. Its #Dire-mod on irc.us.gamesurge.net. I will be putting up a link on the welcome page shortly.

The Small Band Contest is going good but we need more people to sign up. Anyone wanting to get their name out there would be wise to try out. Its fun to do and it could have it's rewards.

Counter-Strike: Source Beta Pre-Loading to Cyber Cafés

Pre-loading of the Counter-Strike: Source Beta to cyber cafés begins today. On Wednesday, this first phase of the beta will open and the game will be playable at all cyber cafes that subscribe to the Valve Cyber Café Program. Later this month, the beta will be extended to owners of Counter-Strike™: Condition Zero™ and ATI Fulfillment Coupon holders.

This beta serves as a compatibility test of the Source engine as we near completion of development on Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source. During this limited-time beta, issues can be reported using the in-game bug-reporting tool. In addition any crashes will automatically generate a report back to Valve’s bug database. We thank everyone for their participation, and we hope Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source live up to your expectations.

Our Flash Movies section has been implemented into our site backend thanks to that l33t Australian Cluver, or how he likes to call himself, clubarfish. Why is this so great news? Well, you can now rate and comment on the movies. I will also add some new movies tomorrow or the day after so keep watching out for them!

Two movies I want to suggest to you are Hostage Down II and Counter-Terrorist Fund, they are my personal favorites. What are you waiting for, if you have missed that great section of CSB up until now go check it out. If you have seen all movies already it is no excuse either, go rate them! All movies! One by one! Or else my fish will come bite you!
