First of all, the Move In! team is not dead and we are still working hard on our release candidate! We weren't inactive in the last time, yeah we know that our old homepage was outdated and we feel sorry for that but we changed that now and made a complete new homepage. We hope that you like it!

There are still some placeholders on the page but we'll change that as soon as possible. The concept will also be updated in the next days, because we included and developed some new features. But there's also much new stuff on the page. We've included a whole new media section. Check it out and see how the new Move In! version looks like!

We've nearly included all stuff wich is needed for the first release and we'll start last betatesting stage soon. We had some problems with the linux server port but we've solved them - big thanks to Kms the coder of the Taskforce-Mod, who is currently doing the linux port for us.

We are still searching for gameservers for betatesting, if you want to host a gameserver please contact the][enemy.

If you have any other questions or just want to meet some members of the Move In! team, please stop by our forums and register, or visit #movein on GameSurge. It would be great to see some new faces in our community :)

The CPL announced today that it has selected Justin Blanchard as League Commissioner.
Justin started his esports career in 1999 by volunteering for DoG (an online league that was acquired by CPL and re-launched as CAL). At CAL he was division administrator, head administrator, league manager and finally director of operations before passing those responsibilities on in 2003 to focus on the professional league.

At CPL he started as a volunteer in April 2000 and was promoted to tournament manager, qualifier manager, and then to tournament director.

His vast experience in all facets of CPL operations is an invaluable asset he brings to this new position. When his promotion was made official, he stated, "My goals as commissioner are to help promote our new sport worldwide through increasingly professional tournaments. I want the CPL to provide the best tournament experience with the most fun possible for both competitors and spectators."

Today, Justin's name was added to the official historical list of CPL commissioners:

1997 - John Romero
1998 - Frank Cabanski
1998 - Michael Wardwell (currently Assistant Commissioner)
2001 - Frank Nuccio
2004 - Justin Blanchard

The HLstats team has released a beta version of HLstats, version 1.3. This release adds a few new features such as a live status page for each game server and color themes. Also, there are multiple fixes such as improved performance and improved security for the admin area. One of the major fixes is a tweak to the code used for working out skill points. This change is a great improvement for those who suffer from the TFC skill bug. However, more feedback is needed to completely remove this bug and any negative effects this change may have caused. It is highly recommended that any previous versions of HLstats are updated to this version.

In other news, the HLstats team is currently in need of new staff to help continue the HLstats project and take part in a new project. If you are experienced in using Perl and/or PHP with MySQL please contact Detritus at detritus@blueyonder.co.uk with examples of previous work.
