We are looking for some serious hard working webdesigners and php coders to make a whole new site. We're splitting the site up into mini-sites like we did before this one. What we're going to do is have each feature here have an own site. Like a site for Gargarena, a site for cat life, stories, images, movies, etc. And now that we're also working on the Half Park Custom Character Creator we might want a new site for that as well, where we can place the first screenshots of our beta and add information.

All these sites will link to eachother and our name will still remain "The Garg-o-holics" on the main page, which will be just an index file with links to all our sites.

Here's our situation at the moment:

- Half Life stories (Friendly Garg's stories)
Devil1 is working on it. Approx 90% finished.
This site features our Half Life image stories, fan fiction (text stories) and comics (regulars and Half Park comics).
- Half Life images
I have no idea at the moment.. I lost track. Let me know if your interested in creating an images site for us.
This site will feature Half Life images (no screenshots, but like the ones we have here in the images section), wallpapers, etc.
- Half Life movies
We need someone to work on this.
Will feature: Half Life movies (almost all formats), flash animations (with a separate category for Half Park flash animations).
- GargArena
Nagash is working on this site. Approx ? finished.
Obviously, this will feature everything related to GargArena.
- Cat Life
Although the mod is completely stopped and we don't have ANYONE working on this mod anymore, we're still keeping the idea and story and maybe make this a HL 2 mod in the future.
Nagash has offered to work on this site, but it's not 100% sure yet.
- Half Park
Only for our Half Park Custom character creator program.
Details will be given to the one interested in creating a site for us.

If your interested in making one of these sites for us (except for the Gargarena and Half Life stories site) email me:

friendlygarg@friendlygarg.hlgaming.com

If you happen to know php very well, we need a script for some of these sites, like the Half Life storysite. We need to be able to add stories using the browser. And for the images site, we need to be able to add images with information like author, comments, and a rating system.

Email me if you want to apply for a job: friendlygarg@friendlygarg.hlgaming.com

Its been about 3 weeks since our last news post, so I'd like to share with you a nice update. For starters, we have some new forums up and running. There you'll find our Team Journals, where our members will be posting their Works in Progress. We also have a great Community Section where our fans can submit their own art, maps, and more.
Tonight we have a few model renders to show you, which you can check out below:

Hengishammer has been rather busy lately. However, he has found time to do a preview of the 'Ealer, which he has posted in his journal.

Also, one of our fans has opened his own thread in our Community Section of the forums, where he's been coloring in some of Hengishammer's concept art.

I urge you to check out the forums, and keep an eye on the journals!

Source: Paroxysm
The Paroxysm Development Team is hosting a contest that we want EVERYONE to join in. Out screenshot page is getting out of date with some not so hot screenshots, so we are inviting everyone to take as many action packed screenshots as possable. Once you get a nice collection, either zip them with WinZIP or rar them with WinRAR then send em off. The pictures we like the most will be put on the website. PLEASE PHOTOSHOP YOUR REAL OR NICKNAME ONTO THE TOP RIGHT CORNER.

send your photos to:

Qbert@nycap.rr.com

we currently don't have a date to close the contest, but don't think thats a reason to slack off, get them to us as soon as possable.

If you don't have freinds interested in Paroxysm, join the massive game this sunday at 10:00 PM GMT, 5PM Eastern USA time, or 2PM Pacific USA time, if you live out of those timezones, figure it out yourself. If you do join the game and you like it, why not put up your own server too?

A new version of Cheating-Death has been released which contains fixes for false detections, various small bugfixes, and a few small speedups. You may or may not notice a performance increase. This new version of C-D also includes support for operation on a listen server.

Addditionally, Cheating-Death now has full Windows XP SP2 support.

Source: Last Great War
First things first, it's the announcement that The Last Great War is now focusing on the Pacific Theater of Operations for the initial release. Before we were being built around the concept of US. vs. Germany. Now we're setting our sights on the US, British and Australians vs. Imperial Japan with a total of six maps for the initial release. We'll announce the maps one by one during the coming months.

We came to this decision by looking at trends & supply and demand. While the Pacific is growing in popularity, it's still not at the same level the European Theater of Operations is. Films such as Saving Private Ryan and the miniseries Band of Brothers really helped build up and give strength to the genre. With a new 10 part mini-series under development now set in the Pacific, we believe the Pacific will recieve the same surge of interest that Band of Brothers did for Europe. We switched to the Pacific because we saw it as a better opportunity to do something new and different, and at the same time, be able to draw in an audience. If the mod is successful, we will live up to our original plan of nation packs and finish off the other theaters of the war with the 2nd nation pack planned to feature the US, British, and Canadians against the Germans back in Europe. This new lineup does not effect the Singleplayer set around Stalingrad, Sophia, and Kerch.

After a long wait, we at the LGW Dev Team are finally presenting a new website. Credits go to Gh0st for the design, who unfortunatley disappeared, and to Cow for putting it all back together for us and many others to getting this site & its content online. We're creating another brand new flash site set to go live later this year, probably around Christmas, a more dynamic, fully built one. This one was basically just salvaged from what gh0st left us, so the new one will be our own from scratch. The Last Great War Development Team, is also now in the process of searching for skilled new members to help us make this mod happen as several important dev team members had to leave due to personal reasons. The Last Great War is currently in search of:

-Animators
-Player Modelers
-Shader Artists
-XSI Proficient Artists
-UVW Unwrappers/3D Meshers
-Concept Artists mainly for the extensive Singleplayer Side-Element of LGW.

If you are interested in joining LGW for any of these positions, please stop by our forums, or email jointhestaff@lastgreatwar.com Please include work examples.

Thanks for your patience, and we hope you enjoy this new website.

Around three hours ago we all gathered for some chinese food and beer to get to know each other. I got to tell ya guys, we have a great bunch of guys here.
Bizl, BlackPanther, MasterMind, Fuse, Charles, Widget, MarmaladeMan, NitrEX4, and myself joined in a feast and some light banter. Fuse and Bizl took some pics of tonight which we will post later.
We also have viewed some great stuff just from this first meeting. HostileKiller made some amazing detailed textures for Offshore. It's so sexy.

Might as well call it that! Half-Life Radio is broadcasting live this week from Florida, and we're about to get hit with 2 hurricanes! That's right folks, not 1, but 2 hurricanes. Either way, we are still running the Half-Life Radio show on Friday starting at 8pm EST / 1am GMT. We will also have some news from Valve regarding Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source. You might hear strong winds, golf-size hail, and perhaps the roof of the radio studio ripping and tearing off in shreds, but we're still going to run a live Half-Life Radio show! Now that's called dedication! Surf is up. Hang on for the ride!

Its been a big couple of weeks for Promised Land since our last update. We've got several new, and very talented folks working for us. Giz, Eddie, and SALVO have recently joined the team within the last week, so a big welcome to them.

By the way, our forums will be down the next few days, as our host is having some problems
