ust to let you know we're still working hard on the Half Park custom character creator and on the new websites. You'll find some new screenshots of our newer version which displays new characters and a load of objects on several sites, so go find them

If your interested in drawing your own characters and submitting them to us, you'll need an "empty" character (no face and bodyparts, just a body and head where you can draw on) which has our standard sizes otherwise it would be useless to us. You'll need to mail me about that and I'll send the files to you.

This is from the HL SDK mailers list:
Here is my first pass at writing a spec for the RCON format, feel free to ask questions.

----------------------------------------------------
Source Server RCON format

The protocol is based around command/response packets encapsulated in a TCP/IP stream. The stream can have multiple outstanding commands and can be extended to allow for multiple sub-channels of data.

The command packet format consists of:

packet size (int)
request id (int)
command (int)
string1 (null delimited string)
string2 (null delimited string)

Do you know what time it is Pink? Time to flush our heads down the drain Brain?? No Pinky, it's to to announce the winner of the F-M-B.org ATI Half-Life 2 Coupon Contest.

It was a really hard choice, great entries have been entered, great reason why people want to win the coupon, including great to read complete stories. But there can be only one winner. Do note that the entries are not judged by which program they have been made, or how many skills the creator has. Paint entries have just a big a chance of winning as 3D Studio Max entries.
The choice at the end was between a great wallpaper containing the Half-Life logo but then displayed as a Chinese character made by Million, and another great darker wallpaper made by Xirow.

But as I said there can only be one winner, and that person is:

Xirow:

Congratulations with your prize. The scans and the code will be e-mailed to you as soon as possible, and have fun with your free Half-Life 2 and with the Counter-Strike: Beta, hope to see you online sometime :)

All the entries can be viewed here and they have also been added to the arts page here.

For those that did not win, there is also a contest going on at CS Nation in which you can win Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and a spot in the Counter-Strike: Source Beta.

It should now be easier to see what new mods have just been added
Both the multi/single player categories have been updated. A new style has now been introduced to this page (may need to refresh), adding in the latest mod additions and the 'Mod Corner' which will briefly keep you up to date with mod updates.
