Rammstein is coding his heart out. We had to redo the particle engine again from lost code. We are seriously close to something that will be a lot of fun.

Flashdevil our lead mapper is mapping some pretty amazing maps for our first release and mappers from all over have asking for a FGD and how to map for WW. Sit tight the FGD will be fully complete as we test each gameplay. Mappers can still map if they want.

Onto the good news. The final WW player model is ready to show off. She will be on the Blue Team. She hates to get her blond hair wet so please try not to piss her off!

GG (Good Game) is an offbeat film about the gaming culture of the FPS genre. The film reveals the mood and feelings of the culture from the fanatics to the professionals.

Divided into segments it flows like a photo essay. It has no true beginning, middle, or end but presents itself in an honest documentarian style introducing viewers to a strange culture while challenging the common premise of sport. GG provides a narrative about gaming from the solitary life of an avid gamer to the multinational events such as the Cyberathlete Professional League.

Finally, it is a diary of the filmmaker's experience as a gamer. It does not offer conclusions or definitions but rather allows the viewer to judge. Ultimately GG is the story of an enormous sub-culture, strangely hidden to most.

You can watch it Friday, September 3, 2004 on KERA Channel 13 at 10:00 pm central in North Texas.

Or you can download an online version at: www.fieldandforest.com/d2/downloads/GG.zip
mirror server: ftp.thecpl.com/gg.zip

The file size is 86.85MB.

We are working hard on getting our final version out as soon as possible. All the content is pretty much there, but because Valve decided to shut down our beloved WON, we now have to take the step towards Steam. This will be bad news for modem users and low-end computer owners. That's why we will still have option to install SW for non-steamed Half-Life, so you can atleast play on LAN or against our brand new bot AI ;-)

Hurricane warnings and watches are in effect for Florida's east coast. Coastal southeast Florida could start feeling the outermost effects of the storm during the afternoon. Present thinking puts landfall on the east coast of Florida, any time from late Saturday to Sunday morning. While the landfall point is important, the destructive impacts from Frances may be widespread. This storm is larger and will affect more land than Charley did once it makes landfall. If you are in a weak structure like a mobile home, make plans to evacuate to a shelter or out of the path of the storm. This kind of hurricane can destroy a mobile home. Board up windows and secure outdoor objects (lawn furniture, trashcans, etc). Prune trees and shrubbery and harvest fruit if possible. Keep in mind that tropical storm force winds and building surf will precede the approach of the hurricane by quite some time. The flooding rainfall impact is also likely to be significant with this hurricane. Flood watches have been issued across much of the Florida Peninsula.

To make matters worse, new tropical storm has formed in the eastern Atlantic. Tropical Storm Ivan is located around 750 miles southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. Maximum sustained winds are presently at 45 mph. The forecast calls for the storm to steadily strengthen and move briskly in a generally westward direction.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, your GameSHOUT Radio staff are devotedly riding out the storm in a hotel in Sabastian Florida. We are now joined by the likes of NBC and The Weather Channel! Be sure to watch to see how we are and maybe see Andy Hodges hog a camera or two! We will keep the news coming as long as we can for YOU, our VALUED GameSHOUT Radio listener. No show tonight nor tomorrow but we will be back up as soon as possible, but in the meantime, keep checking back here for up-to-date news!

As an additional note, GameSHOUT Radio's own Andy Hodges is staying at the same hotel as NBC and the Weather Channel on Florida's east coast. Tonight, NBC will be broadcasting live from this same hotel in Sebastian Florida. There is a possibility that he might be one of those interviewed LIVE tonight on the Evening News. Tune into NBC tonight at 6:00PM and you just MIGHT catch a glimpse of THE MAN HIMSELF!!!
