Our apologies, but our former host, Oktagone Publishing, failed to pay their bills, which resulted in our sites, as well as hundreds of others being taken down. We've switched back to our previous host, HLGaming.com, as they understand a little word we like to call reliability. If you're viewing this, you've either came here via our temporary subdomain, or your DNS updates quickly. Either way, once the site gets re-configured to the server change, everything will be back to 100%.Once again, we're sorry... but there wasn't much we could do. If you're looking for good hosting, don't look at Oktagone publishing, look at HLGaming instead!
Souce: Cause and Effect
I'd like to welcome our new - and first - mapper, Tomii, to the Cause And Effect team! We're expecting some great things from this guy. And now that we've got at least one person per job, we can start working on the single-player campaign. Also, expect an announcement next week on something that's been put off for far too long!

Rtm recieves the moddb "Visual Delight Award"In addition to that we would like to announce major changes in our developing process, we will concentrate on work, rather then hop on the hype wagon and flash our media panties to the public constantly. We are the kind of team, that wants to get their work done, so there will hardly be any news at least till summer.Come and drop by the forums, to keep yourself informed about the project status.

Just a quick update. Development is underway. The bugs that shipped with the SDK are fixed, and game code should commence shortly. In the mean time coneptual images and modeling references are being worked on and modeling will hopefully being with that as soon as the first set is complete. More on that later. I've been working on test maps and visuals and some textures and trying to keep everything running smoothly. More to post later.

Well, I finally got the site up and running again. Let me explain in simple, small words what happened:I was paying lots of money to a company called Oktagone to host the DPB site on one of their machines at a colocation place in NYC. The reason it was so expensive is because the DPB site is rather huge and gets a lot of traffic. On Feb 1st, the place that Oktagone was hosting it's machines decided that they didn't like the way Oktagone had been paying them recently (aka, not at all), and cut off all access to the machines. Because I'm a cool guy, I managed to get a backup completed five minutes before this happened (actually, it was scheduled). Right now, I'm running the website at great personal expense from my own server. Let me know if it's slow/broken etc, but I think everything should work. We've got some pretty cool stuff brewing, so please stay tuned ;)

'Where is it?' I hear you cry. We're spending time ensuring it's as good as we can get it without spending too long on it. In the mean time here's the latest on the project front.More good news, we are again on the lookout for a few new talented team members as well :- 3D An experienced modeller with previous experience essential. I should emphasise that all our modellers must be able to texture their own work. P.R. A position has arisen for a new internal journalist who will be responsible for a number of areas including monthly department reports, newsletters and per department recruitment. Good English skills are essential and an understanding of P.R. and sales would be beneficial. Web A professional web graphics developer capable of working within a PHP environment. If you fancy any of the above positions please remember we want people willing to go the full way with the project and not just leave after their first job is complete. Applications should be sent to jobs at hull-breach.com and include information about yourself, previous experience, skills and how much time you can dedicate a week. Thanks for reading.
- The coding team have created a unique zero gravity and control system. The beginnings of the hull breach armour system HUD are looking extremely cool. Basic team code is in place and some work is now being put into the animation system.
- The art team have been plugging away at both assets for the first official level and public mapping pack as well as some bits and pieces to go along with the new website and storyline.
- The modelling team are thrashing out issues with making our Alliance models as gorgeous as possible. Getting a bulky suit with opening and closing 3 layer visor body armour system is a challenge to say the least but I think you will be pleasantly surprised :)
- Avionix records are full steam ahead pumping out some truly outrageous sounds in preparation for both the first map and the promo video.

Well, the site is still screwy, bear with me on that for a lil bit. The about page is not up yet, and the media page is sloppy, but i've uploaded 2 screens of 2 of the models that are workin progress. The forum is coming along though. Feel free to register. If you wish to find out more about the mod, drop by the forums and ask a question or come by the IRC channel #ResidentEvil on GamesNET.
Well, hopefully i can get things back to normal with MODDB after I take care of somethings here first. Big thanks to hlgaming for the hosting. Our forum is up and so is the site, so far this has been the most frustrating thing having to do with the mod. Thankfully it's done and I can continue to get back to work on the actual MOD itself which so far has been going smoothly. I'll put up some screenshots too. Please be aware that not everything on this site is going to work properly for atleast a week. Well maybe. The forum is up and working, although it will under go some changes as well. I may put up some screenshots there first before they go into the media section. Until I get a contact page up, you can drop by our IRC channel on server: (IRC.GAMESURGE.NET #ResidentEvil) Any questions will have to be asked on the message board since I don't have a FAQ up in the about section yet.
